Catholic Regional College - Melton

About this service

"CRC Melton offers a broad curriculum for all its students.  In years 7 – 10 the curriculum is in line with the VELS and working towards the introduction of the Australian Curriculum.  The subjects include the core subjects from the VELS curriculum with a variety of elective choices. Post year 10 the college offers pathways both into VCE and VCAL/VET (Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning and Vocational Education and Training).  At VCE a wide range of subjects is available.

Technology in the classroom is a continuing priority with access to computer technology for year 7 – 9 students using laptop trolleys and computer laboratories.  All Year 10, 11 and 12 students have ipads to assist with their learning.

Two LOTE subjects are offered, Italian and Indonesian, compulsory at year 7 for one semester each and then by choice in year 8.

We support our students with their learning through literacy, numeracy and reading comprehension support in years 7 and 8 in particular, and also in our Student Services Group for particular needs.  Our MASP extension learning program works to extend students in their learning where needed. Also our ESL program works to build the language skills of our ESL students. "
